One of the consequences when a company becomes insolvent is action being taken against its directors.
The Secretary of State can take action against directors to prevent them from being a director for a period of up to 15 years, where they believe their conduct has been unfit.
We act for directors who are faced with disqualification proceedings brought by the Secretary of State and provide cost effective advice for defending the claim, or where they negotiate an undertaking agreeing to be disqualified as a director for an agreed period of time.
We can also assist directors who have been disqualified and want to obtain the permission of the Court to act as a director whilst disqualified.
