Business turnaround specialist Seneca completes its sixteenth deal in 12 months with its latest investment - a £350,000 injection into Yorkshire-based RS Motorhomes, the UK’s leading luxury motorhome manufacturer.

Seneca’s investment in RS Motorhomes - a family business founded 25 years ago follows two challenging trading years during which the company had been unable to secure bank funding.

The investment will enable the business to meet growing demand, reduce customer waiting times and enable the business to manufacture up to seven bespoke motorhomes a month from their premises in Goldthorpe, South Yorkshire to a customer base spanning the UK and Europe.

Seneca was advised by hlw Keeble Hawson, one of the region’s largest law firms with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster.

Patrick Bywater, investment director of Seneca, said: “We were impressed by the grit and determination of MD Michael Rowe and the loyalty and commitment of his staff who even offered to invest their own savings in the business. RS Motorhomes manufactures a high end, top quality product and has a strong ethos of providing outstanding customer service. Our investment means that they can fulfil their order book, continue to innovate and further develop their export offering.”

Neil Large, corporate partner at hlw Keeble Hawson, said: “Seneca is providing vital support for an established South Yorkshire manufacturing company which is a market leader with a wealth of potential. This funding will secure RS Motorhomes’ future.”

Future plans for RS Motorhomes - which started its business journey supplying luxurious motorhomes retailing between £130,000 and £250,000 to the motorsports’ market – include expansion into the leisure sector and equestrian transportation sector.

Michael Rowe, MD of RS Motorhomes said: “The investment has come at a crucial time for RS Motorhomes. This will now enable the company to move forward and we are pleased to be working alongside Patrick and Melanie of Seneca”
