Alaric Birch

Key Work:

Alaric has specialised in commercial property law from the time he qualified as a solicitor in 1978.

He spent the first 10 years of his career as an in-house lawyer for a PLC. Then, in the mid-1980s he went into private practice and, in due course, joined Russell & Creswick – a firm that merged with HLW in 2005.

Alaric acts for developer clients on both commercial and residential property developments, including related construction documentation. He also acts for lenders and borrowers in relation to development funding. His clients include landlords and tenants, and buyers and sellers of commercial properties – whether for occupation or investment.

His past experience as an in-house solicitor enables Alaric to understand the concerns of property clients particularly well. In addition he takes a very ‘hands on’ approach.

Alaric was born in Staffordshire and educated at Cannock Grammar School and The University of Sheffield.
