Nick Goulding

Key Work:

Nick qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and joined hlw’s Corporate department as a partner in 2007.

He specialises in: mergers, acquisitions and disposals; MBOs / MBIs; private equity investment; corporate banking (including acquisition and development finance, senior and mezzanine finance and debt restructuring)

Nick mainly acts for OMBs and SMEs and his transactional work has included an international element, acting for multi-national and foreign corporations. He also has a broad range of experience on corporate banking matters ranging from simple refinancing to more complex transactions involving leveraged or development finance where he has acted for both lenders (being financial institutions such as RBS, Nat West, Santander, Yorkshire Bank and Handelsbanken) and corporate borrowers.

Background:

Nick was born in Sheffield, attended Hope Valley College and Lady Manners School and then went to the University of Liverpool and the College of Law (Chester). Before joining hlw, he was previously at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield where he was a partner in the Yorkshire Corporate and Banking team.

Nick is married with three children and enjoys playing football and reading.
