Ron Whitlam

Key Work:

Ron was a founder member of hlw in 1992.

After being educated at Thorne Grammar School Ron graduated from Cambridge University and in 1979 he qualified as a solicitor and went into commercial practice, focusing principally on commercial litigation and insolvency work.

Since then he has undertaken a varied caseload including substantial commercial litigation disputes and also has a wealth of experience in acting for Banks taking recovery action against customers and guarantors. He is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and his insolvency work has included a number of interesting arrangements including the administration of a number of Football League clubs.

Ron leads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team.

Background:

His interests outside work include football as a Sheffield Wednesday season ticket holder and most other sports. He also enjoys travel and walking.
