Double Accreditation Success for Contentious Probate Specialists

Share this page:

Two members from hlw Keeble Hawson’s Sheffield office have successfully completed the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) Education Course.

Alex Guy, a partner in the Private Client department and Carla Rist, a solicitor within our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team are now associate members of ACTAPS.  They will become eligible to apply for full membership once they have gained the requisite five years of relevant experience.

They join a select group of solicitors from the region who hold either full or associate membership of the prestigious association.

ACTAPS main objective, in addition to promoting the highest standards of training amongst its members, is to ensure that there is clear guidance for solicitors dealing with contentious trust and probate disputes. Membership is open to solicitors, barristers and legal executives who specialise in the practice of contentious trust and probate law.

Carla Rist said: “I am proud to be an associate member of such a respected organisation.  Our membership not only demonstrates our expertise, but also our sense of commitment and professionalism to our clients.”

Ron Whitlam, senior partner at hlw Keeble Hawson commented: “As the number of contentious trust and probate cases increases, so does the importance of having experienced and dedicated staff in place to deal with them. We are focussed on providing the highest level of specialism, and supporting Alex and Carla’s endeavours in achieving this qualification means that we are now amongst a limited number of firms in the Yorkshire and Humber region that offer this level of expertise to our clients.”
