Clifford House will form the hub for St Luke’s expanding range of community activities, providing a focal point for care in the earlier phases of terminal illness and creating a centre for collaborative work to develop improved care in Sheffield.

hlw Keeble Hawson marks a long-standing association with St Luke’s, which aims to deliver the best possible palliative care in Sheffield for people over 18 who are terminally ill.

Craig Law said: “We highly value our partnership with St Luke’s and were pleased to act in the purchase which will bring wide-ranging positive outcomes. The wealth of facilities include a large open kitchen, accessible rooms, tranquil gardens along with a library, music room and creative room.”

St Luke’s chief executive, Peter Hartland, said: “hlw keeble Hawson ensured our smooth and effective purchase of Clifford House where we can work with patients, families and carers and reach out to our communities.

“The milestone development will enable us to develop partnerships with those in the healthcare, education, charity and voluntary sectors who share our passion for better care for all those in Sheffield who face the challenges that the threat of a terminal illness brings.”

Work to convert the house into a welcoming and comfortable space to reflect St Luke’s style and quality is complete. Next month a range of activities will be piloted, with the official opening taking place in autumn 2017.
